About the Teacher/Welcome Msg
WELCOME!!
Hi! I’m Mrs. McCommon I am excited for this school year! I have been working at HLIS for 7 years! This is my fourth year in CBC and I’m SO excited! I absolutely love my job. I also am a Mentor with Supporting New Special Education Teachers in Mississippi thru MDE. I will be finished with Certificate in Emotional Disability in May. I am also working towards my Masters degree.
My education:
Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from The University of Mississippi.
BIO:
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Jon, and our kiddos. Jon and I have 4 sons (28, 26, 18, and 16) and we spend lots of time outdoors with our kiddos. We planted our roots here in DeSoto Co, calling Olive Branch our home now for 19 years.
My favorite things:
Coffee, chocolate, reading, flowers, and anything outdoors. I would rather be outside than inside.
