I am a dedicated teacher who has a passion for teaching and loves her students.  I was employed with the Memphis Shelby County Schools System for 22 years before retiring and finding a home with Horn Lake Intermediate School. My teaching career expanded into the higher education area as an adjunct professor for Ashford University online, Strayer University, and Argosy University teaching various education courses, both online and campus. My ideology of teaching equates to education that allows students to relate their learning and critical thinking skills. I believe that students’ minds are machines ready to work and with this, they can grow as individuals in the process. I am a true believer that all students learn in different ways and require positive feedback and motivation. I am here to ensure that my students have fun learning and can apply their learning throughout their daily lives. I am excited to work with the parents and student this school year to ensure that students are successful and soar to new heights as Eagles do.
