About the Teacher

Education: I received my Bachelor's Degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with a major in Fashion Merchandising and a minor in Marketing from the University of Memphis. After doing that for a few years, I went back and obtained my license in Special Education. I received my master's degree in Special Education from Arkansas State University in 2018.

Experience: I have worked at Horn Lake Intermediate School for 11 years!

Bio: I grew up in Southaven and attended Greenbrook Elementary, Southaven Middle and Southaven High School and graduated in 2002. I then went to Northwest Community College and University of Memphis and graduated with a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences. I majored in Fashion Merchandising with a minor in Marketing. After graduation, I worked for a local boutique as a buyer and store manager. I then made a career change in August of 2011 and started working at Horn Lake Intermediate and I have been here ever since :) 

I have 3 amazing kids who keep me very busy! Everlea is 11, she is in the 6th grade at DeSoto Central Middle and my twins, Brantlea and Mavrick, who are 8 years old and are in 3rd grade at DeSoto Central Elementary.
