My name is Dana Ricks, and I am happy to be your student's Speech-Language Pathologist at Horn Lake Intermediate School. I have been a school based SLP for 11 years, and I have enjoyed every minute of it! I received my M.S. degree from University of Mississippi, and I am certified with the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Being an SLP is a rewarding career as I am able to help students gain communication that was delayed and/or problematic. I love seeing how increasing a student's communication skills gives them the opportunity to experience success within their academic, social, and emotional skills.
I am a DeSoto County resident married to my loving husband, Matthew for ten years! We are a blended family blessed with 5 children ranging in age from 4 to 18!!! We love to do things together as a family. We are active members of our church, and we also enjoy supporting the performing arts at our local facility, the Independence Arts Conservatory and Conference Center.
