About the Teacher:
Education: I graduated from Horn Lake High School in 2002, and I graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2007 with a Bachelor's Degree in Education.
Experience: I started teaching in the DeSoto County in 2007. I have taught third grade for 13 years, one year in fifth grade, and 3 years in fourth grade. This is my seventeenth year at Horn Lake Intermediate School.
Bio: I was born in Memphis, Tennessee, but my parents moved to Walls, MS when I was one year old. I have grown up in DeSoto County my entire life.
After I graduated college, I met and married my husband Jeff. We have a 15 year old, AND he is in the 10th grade...his name is Carter. He is smart, kind, and the best son a parent can have.
I absolutely love teaching math! I love decorating anything, and spending time with my family. Depending on my mood...I LOVE taking naps and being under a cozy blanket during thunderstorms. I love being in nature and spending time outside. My favorite season is fall, and I have a dream to be able to travel to the most beautiful places in the United States and go backpacking to see it all!
I have three pets. I crazy little rabbit names Twitch, a Border Collie names Panda, and a grey and white fat cat named Max.
