Subjects Taught
3rd Grade Language Arts, 3rd Grade Social Studies

I am a graduate from The University of Mississippi, where I received my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. Prior to that I received my Associated Degree at Northwest Community College. I am licensed to teach English and Social Studies in grades k-12, as well as mild to moderate disability.

This will be my fourth year as a teacher at Horn Lake Intermediate. During my first two years, I taught language arts and social studies. Last year I moved into the 3rd grade inclusion position that I absolutely loved! This year I have the pleasure of working as an inclusion teacher again. I believe this will be another great year, and I can't wait to get started on all the wonderful things that are in store!

My name is Jennifer Henderson. I am 26 years old and a life time resident of Strayhorn Mississippi. I am an only child and I have spent my time trying to get ready for this wonderful career. In my spare time, I enjoy being outside as much as possible and I love to read.

I am very excited for this new year to begin. I feel like I have learned a lot from my years as a general education teacher and now I can't wait to start my year as a special education teacher.  One thing to know about me is that, I am always open to new ideas, and I want my students to feel that their creativity can grow in my classroom along with their education.
